Privacy Policy
Parlare ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Who We Are
Parlare is a conversation-practice platform for leaders and coaches, provided by Parlare Inc., a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act, with its registered office at 6 Byblos Court, East Gwillimbury, ON L9N 0T3, Canada. Questions? bobhalkidis@parlare.app.
2. Data We Collect
- Account data: email address, first and last name, and optional profile fields (role, industry, development goals) that you provide at signup or in your profile.
- Session data: conversation transcripts, AI scores, framework feedback, session notes, and session duration — generated each time you run a practice session or upload a transcript for evaluation.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and error logs — collected automatically to improve the product.
- Payment data: subscription status and billing history. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by Stripe.
- Demo enquiries: if you submit a demo request on the landing page, we collect your name, email, role, and organisation.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the Parlare service.
- To generate AI coaching feedback (your transcript is sent to Anthropic and/or Google for processing — see Section 5).
- To send transactional emails: account confirmation, password reset, and welcome onboarding. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time by contacting us.
- To process your subscription payment via Stripe.
- To notify us of new signups so we can support you.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect sensitive personal data about third parties in your transcripts. Our upload tool explicitly warns against including identifiable personal information about other people.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following sub-processors:
- Supabase (supabase.com) — database and authentication. Data is stored in AWS data centres (us-east-1 by default).
- Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI text scoring and coaching feedback generation. Session transcripts are sent to Anthropic's API for processing.
- Google (cloud.google.com) — AI voice session processing via Gemini Multimodal Live.
- Stripe (stripe.com) — subscription billing and payment processing.
- Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery.
- Vercel (vercel.com) — web hosting and serverless functions.
Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms. We have Data Processing Agreements in place with applicable providers.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and session history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and Canadian PIPEDA), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a structured format.

8. Cookies and Local Storage
Parlare does not use tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage and sessionStorage to store your authentication token and session preferences — these are essential for the app to function and are never used for advertising.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, row-level security in our database, and short-lived JWT tokens. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never stored on our servers. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.
10. Children
Parlare is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will notify you by email.
